From fresh seafood (including freshly shucked Scottish oysters) to a variety of salads and a made-to-order pasta station, the dinner buffet at the InterContinental Grand Stanford’s Café on M exceeded expectations. Continental favourites such as roasted suckling pig and Thai duck curry are also available to savour, while a carving station features a variety of meats and side accompaniments. What made us happiest, though, was the extensive dessert station – filled with Western favourites (such as cheesecake, crème brulee and chocolate brownies) as well as Thai, Chinese and Japanese desserts, the station had us going back for seconds and thirds. The wine selection is vast and includes favourites that will go well with any of the above dishes.
