The Galaxy Macau’s enormous buffet restaurant is popular with families, who pack the place out at all hours. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Festiva keeps things interesting by providing most typical buffet offerings (sushi, salads, soups, and stir fries) while adding authentic Singaporean and Malaysian specialities as a highlight. Various stations offer classic dishes such as beef rendang and sambal, which keep well in the buffet trays, as well as Hainan chicken rice, freshly grilled satay, and hand-pulled prawn noodles made to order. Some more unusual offerings include kueh pie tee (pastry cups stuffed with vegetables and prawns) and the more familiar ais kacang (shaved ice). The surroundings are not the most relaxing, and service perfunctory rather than personal, but there is plenty of food bounty there for the picking.
