Located poolside, the indoor and outdoor café on the lower-lobby level of the Conrad hotel effortlessly exudes an atmosphere of relaxed elegance thanks to its high ceilings, grand glass walls and light wood – making it a tranquil oasis after shopping at the adjacent Pacific Place. Boasting a rich selection of Cantonese, Japanese, Southeast Asian and Western dishes, complete with Indian curries and Arabic shawarma, the buffet also features a cook-to-order grill counter, seafood and salad bar, and a dessert station. The à la carte menu is small but notable, with a selection of Asian fare, salad, sandwiches and dessert. Garden Café’s signature Hainanese chicken rice is served authentically, with three dipping sauces including chopped ginger, chilli sauce and black soy sauce. The boneless chicken is succulent, tender and meaty, but not overly greasy. Service is welcoming and efficient.
