Afternoon tea sets served with champagne is nothing new, but a flute of bubbly certainly adds a nice touch to traditional Chinese cuisine. From now until the end of January, China Tang at the Landmark Atrium is hosting a weekend happy hour featuring champagne and dim sum. Paired with a glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blanc Champagne, guests can feel free to indulge in the restaurant's six sumptuous signature nibbles including:
Steamed shrimp dumpling with bamboo shoot
Steamed beef ball wrapped with tofu sheet
Steamed crystal dumpling filled with assorted mushrooms
Baked puff pastry filled with Yunnan ham and scallion
Deep-fried pork dumpling filled with black mushrooms
Baked puff pastry filled with turnip
The aromatic champagne meets the palate with bright citrus notes, followed by a lightness that enhances the crispy puff pastries and tender shrimps that filled the dumplings. Exclusively served throughout this month at the eclectic restaurant designed by Sir David Tang, the tea set also makes a great celebration for the arrival of the Year of the Rooster.
Set to serve for two or above, the China Tang weekend dim sum happy hour afternoon tea is priced at HK $288 per person. It is available from 2:00pm to 4:30pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays until the end of January.
