By Cindy Chan

Jeannie Cho Lee, Master of Wine, wine editor for our Hong Kong and Macau's Best Restaurants guide and the wine consultant for Galaxy Macau resort now introduces her second title, Mastering Wine for the Asian Palate.

Following the success of her first book, Asian Palate, which won the Gourmand Award's Best Food and Wine Pairing Book in the World in 2009, this new book is an insightful and informative book that broadens the wine lexicon by introducing Asian terms to the language of wine. Through using Asian ingredients such as red dates, persimmons or ginko to describe wine, Mastering Wine for the Asian Palate takes an innovative approach by introducing new reference points for wine, which are particularly useful to the burgeoning Chinese market, thanks to their familiarity with these ingredients.

Divided into seven chapters, this coffee table book lets readers explores vineyards, cellars, grape varieties, label reading and wine tasting through beautiful pictures and easy-to-read charts and illustrations. As it provides a fresh Asian perspective for readers to understand and appreciate wines from Asia's first Master of Wine, Mastering Wine for the Asian Palate investigates the possibilities of Asian cuisines with wine and is also a useful tool for Asians to help them do their own wine pairing with Asian cuisines.

Mastering Wine for the Asian Palate is now available on Amazon.
