Wine Dinner at Wooloomooloo Wan Chai
Known for offering the finest cuts of Australian meat and Antipodean wines, chain steak house Wooloomooloo is partnering with winery Petaluma, founded by Brian Croser, to host an Australian wine dinner at its Wan Chai branch. Petaluma owns vineyards across three different winemaking regions in South Australia, which are famous for their riesling, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and merlot. The wine dinner will take place next Wednesday on July 25 with a pre-dinner cocktail starting at 7pm. Guests will be able to sample some of the winery’s signature including the Petaluma Croser, Petaluma Tiers Chardonnay and a 2008 Petaluma Shiraz, with Andrew Hardy, Petaluma’s winemaker also available to introduce the wines personally. The four-course pairing menu features:
- salmon tartar, salmon gravlax and salmon pate
- wild mushroom cream soup with parmesan cheese
- a choice of pan-seared snapper; half spring chicken or grilled Australian tenderloin
- a choice of strawberry tart or cheese plate
